Personal Touch Catering Wins NACUFS Horton Award for Special Event Theme Dinner
Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA (Jan. 16) Virginia Tech/'s Personal Touch Catering won the Gold Award from the prestigious National Association of College & University Food Services/' 2004 Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards in the catering special event/theme dinner category. The special event that presented Personal Touch Catering with the opportunity to compete for this prize was the New River Valley Wine Association Spring 2004 Dinner.
In 1999, the New River Valley Wine Association approached Personal Touch Catering and arranged to host their monthly meetings in the Owens Banquet Room. This agreement provided PTC an opportunity to promote their facilities, services, and staff to the community, as well as promote the sale of high-end events to Association members. Both organizations realized that by working together, they could achieve their goal of increasing the appreciation and sales of gourmet food and fine wine through an educational event featuring gourmet foods and wine pairings. |
